Toxicity
This is a game that myself and a friend developed as a part of a game jam we joined. We created this game for a project at college where the purpose was to join a game jam and create a game following the theme of that game jam. The theme of this game jam was "Failure is Progress". With this we came up with the idea of creating a game where the player has to collect poison, to which they will die once they collect all of vials, with this they will be able to move on to the next level as they technically have succeeded making failure is progress as dying in video games are seen to be the player failing so we took this element and made it so they have succeeded. Below are some of the image from the game, the first image is the background image for the main menu, the second image is when the player loads into the first level, they are met with the first vial of poison that they have to collect, this is so they know what they have to collect. The images after that show the level design and that this game is set in a medieval dungeon with items such as cauldrons and swords as well as bones on the floor foreshadowing the fate of the main character.
