In the Ramayana, Hanuman grows to enormous size to act as a living pavilion and defend Rama from the demon armies of Lanka.
Growing up half Thai, Hanuman was my superhero. I always loved stories like this one and I couldn't believe that the imagery hadn't permeated temple architecture in a more significant way given his global patronage.
I used Maya and Substance Painter to complete this scene of what a temple built for Hanuman modeled after this good deed might look like. After, I rendered the animation through Arnold.
