International Roots lithograph

International Roots lithograph

12 × 18 in lithograph (edition of 10) drawn on stone and printed on Rives BFK paper. This piece alters the traditional representation of the world map and shows the continents connected together to form one large tree-like living organism. The design was made with subtractive (Maniere Noire) lithographic techniques and the map projection used is based on Buckminster Fuller's icosahedron projection.
