The Painted Desert in Arizona encompasses the Painted Desert Petrified Forest National Park and portions of the Navajo Nation. This is one of the most underappreciated scenic wonders in the Southwestern USA. The area was once home to swamps, rivers and dinosaurs. I have been photographing the area for sometime but am becoming a more frequent visitor. Here is a sample of what I have seen out there with more to come. Please let me know what you think.
