Innards Of The Porcupine Alley ⏤ A Pavilion

Innards Of The Porcupine Alley is a pavilion design for the first project in Architectural Design 3 subject in Universitas Indonesia. The site conceptually occurs in Bangkirai Hills, Kutai Kartanegara, Indonesia. The premise corresponds to Indonesia's plan to move their capital city to Kutai Kartanegara, and we (Universitas Indonesia Architecture students) should make a series of pavilions located in any area of that city.
This pavilion would take place in Bangkirai Hills, specifically on a bridge called 'Canopy Bridge'. The rainforest on the hill in Kutai Kartanegara is opened to the public, so this pavilion would accompany the visitor's experience of crossing by the bridge.
To get the form of the pavilion, I used the model making exploration method. From each development of the model, I tried to make some dynamic forms through bending and the idea of using hinges to make the structure dynamic, due to the site approach.
Picture above is the bird-eye view perspective.
The project itself consists of a hanging tensile structure and a series of translucent acrylic tubes, to be used as a photogenic space accompanying the existing bridge in the Bangkirai Hills forest area.

In this project, I also provide a joinery book with steps on how to build the pavilion, served in an IKEA-styled sequential illustration.
Joinery book to explain the pavilion structure and how to build the pavilion from scratch.
Thank you!
