Combination
Combination is when you put together two objects that are not related in any way. In the image below it is represented with a spine and an office chair. These two images are not related in any way, yet make so much sense.
Spinal office
Juxtaposition
This strategy shows the difference between two things rather than their similarities. It is also known as contrast. In the image below you can see the contrast between the oil/petroleum and the chair. The contrast is shown by a white-ish chair and the black oil/petroleum.
Two stages
Isolation
This strategy focuses on separating an element from its surroundings or other objects. In the image below, the image shows five chairs and out of the five there is one that is unique and does not look like the others.
One out of five
Metaphor
This strategy refers to making metaphors and similes similars, the meaning of an image created with an object. Here the metaphor being said is "hiding in your shadow", the object is a chair and as you can see below, the shadow is different from the chair as in showing that the person in the shadow is hiding in the chair.
Hiding in your shadow
Change Environment
This strategy contrasts objects with unnatural or uncommon environments to highlight a concept or communicate an idea. It brings an object into an environment that is not usual for that object.
Disconnected from society
Physical Shape Similarity
This strategy uses physical similarities to showcase two objects that would normally not get along. In the image below, you can see that we are using a chocolate bar and a park bench. Normally these two have nothing to do with each other, but here we can see that we made them get along by replacing the back of the bench with the chocolate bar. Now they get along so well, that you wouldn't normally notice it unless you really look at it. That is how physical shape similarity works. Two completely unrelated objects are brought together and made to look like they belong together.

Material change, swap,or focus.
This strategy swaps a material property that we are accustomed to with another.  In the image below you can see that the office chair wheels have been changed into octopus tentacles. The chair moves with tentacles instead of wheels.
