Location: Greensboro, NC (2019)

Code for Greensboro (C4GSO) is a civic-tech brigade, and extension of the larger non-profit Code for America. As part of the 501(c)3 organization, this brigade collaborates with community partners, people, and process to solve social issues that impact the local community through technology. 

The organization wanted to reinforce their public presence on all digital platforms. This included a redesign of their website for mobile users. The goal was to use the website as the hub where anyone and everyone can gain access to past and current projects, support the organization, or get involved in other ways. Another goal was to increase member engagement and enlisted memberships. Having a website that tells their story of Civic Tech seemed to be the direction leadership wanted to take.

We did a skeleton prototype of the desktop version on Figma, and then focused more on the mobile design. Once the prototypes were finished, a presentation was made to membership and feedback was given in terms of usability, legibility, readability, as well as what the next phases would look like for implementation.
