Instructions for DIY Kits for Kids

Instructions for DIY kits for kids
Kiss Naturals is a Canadian company dedicated to creating all-natural and organic DIY kits for kids, from lip balms to bath bombs. In 2018 they were in process of a rebranding and requested me to redesign the instructions that came with the kits they make, they had the issue that they had to print several pages for each one of the kits since they're  exported to countries with different languages so the company had to include at least two pairs of instructions because of that. Their main goal was to reduce the amount of paper needed for the instructions following their new business philosophy of ecology and rebranding.

The Brand Manager of the company gave me their brand board and a couple of keywords along with visuals they wanted to show or somehow reflect.
I made the suggestion to add some icons that illustrate each step so that it would be easier to follow along with the instructions since the main users are children (that require some help from their parents for some steps).
To solve the issue of having differents versions for each language, I proposed to combine them in a single page having each language on a column. The proposal was approved and the final size of the instructions was defined to be A5 (5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inches or 148 x 210mm).
Since the chalkboard was an important visual for the brand, I decided to use it for the cover of the brochure, as well as the wood texture (that would eventually become the inspiration for their packaging, a project that I later got the opportunity to redesign).
Thanks for watching!
