Mazin Samona established Roseville, Michigan’s Smokers Outlet, now known as Wild Bill’s Tobacco, in 1994 and continues to lead the company as chief executive officer. Under the leadership of Mazin Samona, the chain had cigar lounges installed in 20 locations by the end of 2013.
At the same time, all 50 stores in Michigan had walk-in humidors outfitted with Spanish cedar paneling, as well as the latest in humidification technology, affording cigar aficionados a space to sample new flavors.
As 2012 drew to a close, the state implemented a 50-cent tax on individually sold cigars in Michigan, allowing Wild Bill’s to remain competitive against online retailers and continue to expand the store’s premium cigar brand over the following years.
