The Lord Of The Flies
Book Cover Design
This is a book cover I designed for the acclaimed novel "Lord Of The Flies" by William Golding. Using the many metaphors in the book, I tried to portray how the children give themselves into the beast within, in the absence of societal structure.
The boar’s head symbolises Beelzebub, who influences the children showcasing their darker human nature. The back of the cover has the symbols of intellect (spectacles) and the order of the society (conch) broken, as the children reject and lose these aspects in this gripping novel.
