LITERATURE REVIEW: REVAMPING A FORMER LANDFILL INTO AN ELECTRIC PARK IN ALAM IMPIAN, SHAH ALAM
OVERVIEW:
This study reviewed landfill and regulations in relation to the post-closure maintenance. The site, a landfill, came with a stigma of worthless and a "dead zone" due to its past history as a waste disposal site. The stigma must be broken and the early steps ought to be understanding the site's potentials and the existing channels that can help to shine the abandoned site. Thus, the topics analysed include the legislation surrounding the landfill, maintenance activities after its closure, opportunities for development of renewable energy resources as well as similar sites abroad and at home.
