For this year project, I did research and practice on the "smocking" technique for application in fashion design. I used denim as the main material and adding some hand stitches embroidery for the last touch.
The smock technique is not only for decorative purpose, but also helps to create movement for the waist of the dress. The release part of the technique also creates a drape for the skirt.
