CELEBRATE GIRL BIRTH

Project is about to change the mentality of common people about the value of girls. Now, it’s time to celebrate the girl birth, a kit has been designed for new born girl child which helps parents and baby girl for better future. While designing data collection, research work, contextual analysis has been followed as a methodology.

 

The project tries to change the behavior of those people who really thinks that girls are not important for society. In India and all across the world, the celebration of a baby boy’s arrival to the earth is more noise and gleeful in comparison of a girl. Some of the reasons are dowry, lack of respect for women in society, only boys give an earning hand in most of the conservative areas and fear of parents about their girl’s safety.

 

This kit inspires parents to maintain the equality among boys and girls. It also helps them to know about the real value of a girl in family, society and the progress of the nation.

 

Project was done as my semester thesis project, part of academic curriculum of M.Des at DoD, IIT Guwahati. Under Dr. Prasad Bokil.
