All that Glitter is not Gold
In a time where technology has become an irreplaceable aspect of our lives, young minds who are introduced to the internet at an early stage are exposed with constant influx of digital information through different channels. The most significant element would be to possess the skill to decipher and critique what is presented to us. To question what is fake news. misleading content, targeted advertisements, algorithms within the filter bubble and corporate biases hidden in 'objective' content.
Hence, I created a scaled model of a public installation to initiate interest and spark debate around this art object. The next step of this project is to use this concept and design a safe and fun children's playground. Via creating this tangible and interactive experience, Gen X, who grow up with mobile phones and tablets is better equipped to handle this 'Abundance of Information' surrounding them.
Adjacent to this is a set of illustrations as part of the process to better understand and visualise the topic.
