Control Magazine

This project is a rebranding of the control magazine created by
Stephen Williat’s.

The topic I chose for this is 'Doodling'. Doodling in class, during office meetings,
etc. is an uncontrollable act. It is usually considered to be done during a boring lecture
or a meeting. People find this as a sign of not concentrating, but this actually proves
that you are smarter and more attentive.

I designed my magazine as a collective work. Hence, it included actual scribbles and doodles done by people during lectures and classes. The entire magazine is in black
and white to support the concept of doodling, which is usually done with a pen or a
pencil in the margined of paper. It is not a very colorful form of art.

Almost all the text in the magazine is placed towards the sides to support the concept
of doodling and writing near the margins.

I also included a small doodle guide inside, which contains information on what specific doodles and scribbles mean. The guide focuses on shapes and what they mean.

Spreads from the magazine.
