Savannah Stopover Music Festival 2012
Poster Contest: Born Gold
The Savannah Stopover Music Festival, founded in 2011, focuses on the best up-and-coming indie bands in the world, most of whom are traveling en route to the prestigious SXSW Music Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas. For one incredible weekend, the gritty edge of underground cool and over 70 of modern music’s most eclectic and electrifying bands will be in Savannah, GA. The festival also shines a light on Savannah’s own burgeoning music scene with performances by many of the city’s best local acts. The atmosphere of the festival is forward thinking, artistic, and technologically savvy.

Savannah Stop Over Music Festival 2011
Poster contest: Das Racist
With Savannah’s reputation as an artists’ community, the Savannah Stopover aimed to foster an interface between visiting bands and local visual artists. The result is the Concert Poster Project, where professional and student artists of graphics, printmaking, painting, photography and drawing come together to design one-of-a-kind, limited edition concert posters for Stopover acts.
Forty posters designed by SCAD students and local artists will be displayed in a curated and juried exhibit showcasing Savannah Stopover bands. Each of the posters features an interactive component using Microsoft’s QR Code Tag technology that when scanned, will take viewers to more information about that band and the festival.
