Custom embellished & painted vintage jacket. 

I started out with a plain white, previously loved denim jacket. Beginning with the 'No Planet B' panel painting at the back, I worked outwards to embellish the entire body of the jacket. It is hand painted painted, hand embroidered, beaded, appliqued and patched. I also lined the body of the jacket to protect the embellishment and to enhance the feel for the wearer.

The piece is entirely wearable, and almost entirely created from recycled or reused materials. Despite the environmental messaging, the jacket does feature some use of plastic - plastic that was already in existence, because it is better to use these products than to discard them. 

Only the paint and lining fabric were bought new. Paint for obvious reasons, and the lining due to limitations during lockdown.
