Jade's Jerky is a small home based beef jerky business.
After sketching a few ideas down on paper, I had a general idea of the direction I wanted to head with this project. Here I started comparing the letters "JJ" in different fonts.
JJ = Jade's Jerky
I liked the "JJ" letters in the Georgia font. I reflected one the "J" letters so that it was in reverse of the other. Georgia is a serif typeface designed in 1993 by Matthew Carter and hinted by Tom Rickner for the Microsoft Corporation.
I morph the top of the "J" into a bulls horn. Then I reflect the changes to the other "J". The bulls horn = beef jerky. The pointy tip of the horn was rounded to match the style of the Georgia font.
