Australian Tropical Birds

The Male Olive Backed Sunbird:
Occupies Forest edges, secondary growth, Mangroves, Parks and gardens, as singles, pairs and occasionaly small groups. When breeding these little firecrackers are fiercely territorial with much displaying and vocal pursuit in flight.Feeds on nectar and invertebrates gleaned from nooks and crannies, including any prey that has been caught up in barbed wire.
