For this project, we were asked to design and typeset an entire book in the public domain. I chose the book "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" and created a typeface and illustrations that I thought best matched the spooky and mysterious themes in the novel.
For my illustrations I decided to keep them all in a monochromatic color scheme to place more emphasis on the dramatic lighting in many of the scenes. I also added texture to the illustrations and a rough border to make them feel more antique and from the time period that the book was written in. I also hand drew the filigree used on the front and back covers.
