Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Sound Design
This is a project I did in my second semester (spring 2019) of Music with emphasis in Music Production at Universidad de Los Andes. The project consisted in composing the whole soundtrack and doing the audio design for the trailer in Logic Pro X.
New Light by John Mayer: Production, recording and basic mix
This is a project I did in my third semester (fall 2019) of Music with emphasis in Music Production at Universidad de Los Andes. The project consisted in doing the production, recording and basic mix of a song that we liked. I chose New Light by John Mayer and added my personal touch to the song. So, inspired in Beyond by Daft Punk, I decided to do an acoustic introduction to the original song with a piano that followed the main chord progresion of the song. Furthermore, at the guitar solo, I decided to do a basic Merengue arrangement and rhythm to accompany the guitar solo. Finally, the edition, recording and mix of the song was done in Pro Tools and the synthetizers in Logic Pro X.
We are young by Fun: Production, recording and basic mix
This is a project I did in my fourth semester (spring 2020) of Music with emphasis in Music Production at Universidad de Los Andes. The project consisted in doing the production, recording (only with a Shure SM57) and basic mix of a song that we liked. I chose We are young and changed some little things in the arragement. Principally, I decided to change the choruses for a cello supported by an acoustic guitar accompainiment, and to change the drums for a cajón. Moreover, beside the lead male singer, I decided to add a female singer to give more power to the vocals. In addition to that, I also put another two male singers to be in the background and fill more the low to mid frequency spectrum. Finally, the edition, recording and mix of the song was done in Pro Tools and the synthetizers in Logic Pro X.
