This illustration is a study of a heart axial section with a bi-leaflet prosthetic mitral valve. I used an existing design that I modified to experiment with a more realistic graphic style (I focused on textures and colors). Therefore, this illustration might not be totally accurate from an anatomical and/or surgical point of view.
