This work was the result of an assignment I received with the purpose of making an online article more visually appealing. Even though I was not successful in obtaining the job, I appreciated the challenge and wanted to share the result. 

Over the past few months I have created various illustrations, mostly portraits, but I always found landscapes to be harder to do. In general, I find creating backgrounds more challenging than anything else - don’t really know why.

I started with a few sketches and then after deciding on the idea and layout, the illustration took me two days to complete.
