A wonderful discovery
I stumbled upon this wonderful garden in Louisville, Ky after completing a photo assignment for Fine Gardening Magazine. Actually, it was for their special interest magazine Great Gardens. I had been asked by the photo editor to visit gardens in the area that were part of the Garden Conservancy's Open Days Tours to see if they might be good candidates for future issues of the magazine. I had visited several of the gardens on the tour and saw several nice gardens but none that were a good fit for the magazine. I had just about decided to leave for home when I thought that I would visit one more garden that was on my way out of town. Wow, am I happy I made the stop. This is certainly the most lovely and well executed garden I have ever photographed! Topping it off, the homeowner couldn't have been any nicer. I spent almost two days photographing the garden and I could have stayed much longer.
