Rationale
According to Malaysia Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Malaysia is one of the world’s highest palm oil exporters. Malaysia currently accounts for 39 % of world palm oil production and 44% world exports. If taken to the accounts of other oil and fats produced in the country, Malaysia accounts for 12 and 27 % of the world/s total production and exports of oil and fats. However, some EU countries decided to ban palm oil and their import from Malaysia.

Logo
Green represents something natural and healthy, As a result, the logo itself is only palm leaf in green along with the MPOC in text. Adding the tagline ‘Useful and Fresh’ is to give the logo extra confidence that Malaysian palm oil is useful and beneficial in many ways, and they are also fresh produce to encourage people to trust the palm oil that Malaysia produces. For the set of the series, we located the logo on the bottom corner as we are keen to promote palm oil as the main product for the series. The website info of MPOC also included as we are designed this to let the audience know where to direct for further information.
Font
Gotham font, geometric sans-serif typeface and is good for body copy. Gotham Font family are used for the whole poster of the series in heading, subheading and body text. Gotham Bold as the font style for the word ‘MPOC’ meanwhile Gotham Light used on body text.

In fact, Malaysia palm oil industry adopts Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in compliance with corporate governance and social responsibility. An icon that looks like a small plant is also being added on the poster as it symbolises the environment, and Malaysian oil palm strives to excel in taking care of the environment.
Poster 2 [Better Crop]
The oil palm tree is the most productive oil-bearing crop! Palm oil can produce more oil which is 5 to 10 times more than any resources we found out that can be cropped into oil except petroleum. Palm oil should not be banned by the EU, because it is the resource that can replace petroleum. An icon that looks like a drop of oil is also being added because the source of the oil is from the palm oil.
Poster 3 [Zero Burning]
Malaysia oil palm assures you our good agricultural practices, including zero burning and integrated pest management are widely adopted within the Malaysian oil palm plantations sector. Malaysia also has pioneered the zero burning replanting technique to reduce CO2 emissions and minimizes accidental forest fires. An icon that looks like a lightbulb is also being added because it symbolizes the innovation of our palm oil industry to practice their good agricultural practices.
