I created  Vector art over a picture I captured during the pandemic. My subject is my god-daughter and because my god-daughter is still so young and innocent I wanted to create a matching illustration that enhances the energy she portrayed in her picture. I first created a drawing on paper to help me sketch how and where I would draw around her. I then created different strokes varying in size and colors. Sampling some of the colors that were already in the pictures I continued to create layers to simulate a childlike drawing around her. I chose to do a simple flower because It matched her clothes and because she is growing and blossoming which I found to be metaphorically equivalent to a flower.
