Stratton Custom Guitars Phoenix

The Phoenix
This guitar was hand crafted by myself in 10 weeks for my Industrial Design Senior Studio class at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The guitar's body is made from a single piece of reclaimed Savannah Heart Pine, onced used as a roof truss in a historic building in downtown Savannah. The building is dated to 1780, making the wood at least 230 years old. I chose to call it the Phoenix because like the mythical creature reborn from its own ashes, this guitar was born from parts of a building destined for the scrap heap.

Here's some specs on the guitar:

Scale Length: 25.5"
