The Savannah College of Art and Design presented The Three Musketeers as the mainstage winter show for our 2013 season.
I enjoyed the privilege of working as an assistant costume designer under Dawn Testa, SCAD costume design chair.
We worked with thirty-four double-cast actors and actresses, on a $10,000 budget. The majority of our costumes were rented from The TDF Costume Collection in New York City, and from Western Costume Company in Los Angeles. Working with these professional costume houses, pulling and the experiencing the full rental process, was a highlight of the project.
In our academic costume shop, I constructed additional pieces for the show, and helped manage our team of stitchers for alterations. I especially enjoyed working as a wardrobe supervisor and dresser backstage during our performances.
