Roman Týc: Vystřel vocaď
2020
Client: Roman Týc
Font: Neue Haas Grotesk
Type: Book

The recapitulation of three gallery exhibitions of one of the most publicly discussed contemporary Czech artists is interpolated with an open autobiographical text, from which life experiences, inspirations and motivations plainly pour into the works’ reproductions. The book cover-as-summons visualizes the framework of Týc's work as a constant clash with authority, breaking down of the boundaries of socially acceptable, legality and public space – but also as a game with identity (real or fictious name and address?). The concept of things-are-not-what-they-seem, the name of the first exhibition, “3 kg of fate”, and the heaviness of being in irons further expands limited edition of twenty copies, which weigh exactly three kilograms.
