We used a compelling awards promotion to charge Xircom's peripheral interface sales. This two-tier gift program was designed for Tier 1 Distributors to push the program through the Tier 2 VARs to pull sales customers in. Points were awarded for each sale which were redeemed for gift awards. We achieved a 17% increase in sales-through as compared to the "control" program.
