I created a poster for the classic tragedy known as Macbeth in the style of Art Nouveau. I wanted to convey the nature of the play in a similar manner to the works of Alphonse Mucha from the late 1800s. I did this by first researching the local plant life that exists in Scotland, the setting for the tragedy. The next step was to look at what organic shapes could be formed from the plants which led to me making use of vines on the borders of the page to serve as a frame for the main image. Bright colors based on said plant life were used to catch the eye of the viewer.
