These are the series of illustrations for the book titled <A moonlight night> by Lee Tae Joon who is famous as Maupassant of Korea.
In the 1930s, when the work was written, Seoul was going through a transition period. The area of Seoul has expanded and became a full-fledged commercial and industrial city. The house in Seongbuk-dong, which is the background of the work, is still well preserved and is operated as a traditional teahouse.
