CROW MOTHER
"Angwusnasomtaka"
A project for the upcoming Hodge Podge Gallery show I'll be participating in with 34 other artists. This digital illustration is my take on one of the traditional Hopi Katsinam spirits from the Arizona tribe.

Super awesome thumbnail. You can see I intended to exaggerate the wings more originally.
This carving comes from a book titled "A Guide to Hopi Katsina Carvings" by Rose Houk, 2003 and Published by the Western National Parks Association.

The photo was taken by George H. H. Huey.

The original sculpture is by Derek Hayah.
