“Let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream, and that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of dreams, or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive. And after several nights, of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say ‘Well, that was pretty great. But now let’s have a surprise. Let’s have a dream which isn’t under control. Where something is gonna happen to me that I don’t know what it’s gonna be.’ And you would dig that and come out of that and say ‘Wow, that was a close shave, wasn’t it?’. And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream. And finally, you would dream where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.” ~Alan Watts

2020 hasn't been an easy year for all of us. From Covid-19, over protests and travel restrictions, limiting us in many ways of our lives.
While this year brought many problems, on the upside, it gave many of us time to reflect on life and our future.

I am naturally an introvert, so being locked up in a quarantine, while being contacted by Adobe for a Creative Residency, automatically meant: Lots of thinking about reality, possibilities and creative planning for my future.

This residency was focused around the exploration of reality and the rules of it. Therefore I wanted to create a short-film which is focused around the idea of reality and visualizing this idea with several augmented creations made in Aero. The story is a quote from Alan Watts called “The Dream Of Life”, which I heavily edited to fit a 90 second clip.

In order to help you visualize the user friendliness of Aero and how my projects were assembled, I've created a small Behind The Scenes series to walk you through the most crucial steps, so you can try it yourself.

If you would love to try out the AR experiences yourself, you are happily invited to do so! If you download Adobe Aero on your phone, then you can use any of the links below to bring the effects into your own reality.
