Pentecost instllation for the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown (FPCH) where I lead the Art Ministry team. The banners are 18 feet long and were hand painted; the window drape is three shades of organza.
Advent installation created with purple photo backdrop paper and white organza.
The main window is progressively shrouded with black fabric throughout the six weeks of Lent; on the Holy Saturday we have an all night prayer vigil; all lights are turned out and windows shuttered before the Easter Sunday morning service.
When the Easter Sunday service begins, the shroud is dropped, all the black organza is changed for white and the shutters are opened.
The sanctuary installation for Ordinary Time. The banners, which are 4 feet by 9 feet, were tie dyed by hand. The two banners at th rea of th sanctuary are 8 feet by 12 feet, also tie dyed by hand, including thecrosses tie dyed into the design.
Behind the curtain. This is the catwalk above the vaulted ceiling of the sanctuary where we rig our lines for ceiling banners that can be raised and lowered.
A portable installation for use during baptisms.
