In Omaha's bustling business district, the Union Pacific headquarters stands tall as a contemporary 19-story building made of glass and steel, encompassing an impressive 1.3 million square feet. This architectural marvel serves as the workplace for more than 4,000 employees. As part of a comprehensive renovation project, the dining facility within the 24-hour centralized dispatching center underwent a complete redesign. Union Pacific's objective was to create a cutting-edge and world-class experience that seamlessly integrated the latest technology, functionality, user efficiency, and environmental control. Throughout the expansive lobby atrium, Union Pacific's distinctive branding is showcased through custom experiential graphics, providing a captivating visual experience from multiple vantage points within the space.
Scope Summary
Drawing inspiration from professional-grade aerial photography supplied by Union Pacific, the main feature wall serves as a tribute to the company's storied past and showcases one of its most renowned locomotives. Carefully crafted custom graphic illustrations and typographical designs adorn the wall, meticulously arranged to reflect Union Pacific's rich history while maintaining a contemporary and modern aesthetic. The project also encompassed the creation of custom food station signage, strategically placed throughout the cafeteria. DLR Group lent their expertise in interior design and experiential graphic design to bring this project to life.
