Design Achievement
Arapahoe Community College (ACC) chose DLR Group to design their new collaborative educational complex, driven by the institution's program popularity and overall success. The design of the complex centers around hands-on learning, real-life scenarios, and dedicated spaces for internships and apprenticeships. By integrating educational, business, and community elements, the campus aims to revolutionize the delivery of higher education, career and technical training, as well as workforce development. DLR Group's design promotes collaboration among all users, creating an immersive and progressive learning environment that actively engages students.

Scope Summary
The new 45,000 square foot building serves as a hub for 800 students pursuing various disciplines such as sciences, applied sciences, arts, business, and technology. It offers accessibility to academic, community, and business partners in fields like entrepreneurship, information technology, and health. At the heart of the facility is a two-story space that houses the Learning Commons, providing students with opportunities to engage with peers, faculty, staff, and industry collaborators in the Academic Success Center. To personalize the interiors, a comprehensive experiential graphics package was developed, featuring ten distinct installations that celebrate the local Colorado area. Notably, the inclusion of student photography in the custom-designed graphics fosters a sense of ownership among current students and alumni, connecting them to the new facility. DLR Group played a crucial role in providing architecture, interior design, and experiential graphic design services for the project.
