UE4 Artifact 4 Speed & Stamina
I have created two separate UI widgets in order to showcase a health bar and a stamina bar in the shape of a circle inspired by Breathe of the Wild. The character will have separate animations for regular jog, sprint, and exhausted walk. Health bar will deplete when damaged by fire and will groan in pain when damaged. The stamina circle is green and once fully depleted the color will change to red and start regenerating and trigger the exhausted walking animation.
Short video highlighting Health depletion and stamina depletion and regeneration.
Tools Used:
Unreal Engine 4 ( blueprints, Mixamo animations)
Highlighted skills:
- Ability to utilize user interface widgets within UE4
- Ability to apply damage that will effect the progress of health bar
- Create a stamina bar in the shape of a circle that not only depletes but fully regenerates
 - Added different animations that would only be triggered when character is at a specific state (sprint, exhaustion, death)

Reflection
The process of creating and polishing this artifact was difficult when it came to the stamina bar. To deplete and regenerate properly and trigger exhausted animation was a great experience.

I learned a lot from creating and improving my artifact. I learned how how to utilize widgets, apply damage, and create a very cool stamina wheel.

The challenges I faced creating this artifact was meshing together the stamina wheel and different animations in order to make it look realistic.

I incorporate feedback by cleaning up sounds from damage, grunts from pain, and adding different effects to my UI.

The artifact was improved by adding sounds, effects, animations.
