O projeto foi desenvolvido durante meu breve período de 1 ano morando nos Estados Unidos. O tema escolhido para o vídeo foi uma reflexão sobre o pouco conhecimento global de uma considerável parte da população dos Estados Unidos.
À partir desse tema inicial, uma extensa pesquisa foi desenvolvida e diversas fontes foram utilizadas para a coleta de dados. Foram desenvolvidos como produto final do curso um website, com layout responsivo, contendo informações importantes sobre a pesquisa e o tema (+ links para as diversas fontes consultadas), e um vídeo, à ser divulgado neste mesmo site, com o objetivo de atrair atenção da população a esta questão.
O projeto foi particularmente complexo, devido à delicadeza necessária para abordar o tema sem omitir dados e ao mesmo tempo não ofender, generalizar ou utilizar informações incorretas no conteúdo produzido. O material não representa a minha opinião e se baseia completamente em dados e notícias publicadas por outras fontes, incluindo jornais e revistas online e pesquisas de opinião e censos de propriedade de diferentes organizações dos EUA.
This project was the outcome of a course I took during my brief time in North America (US). The briefing was to work with a "Wicked Problem" (a problem that is impossible or very hard to solve) present in the contemporary US population. The topic I chose to talk about was the lack of global awareness presented by a considerable portion of the US population.
From this topic, an extensive research process began, and several sources were used to gather the statistics and data. The projected was presented in 2 pieces: a responsive website, containing useful information about the research and topic, including the sources consulted; and a video, featured in the same website, meant to raise awareness for this matter.
The project was particularly complex for me, due to the delicate topic and the way I had to talk about the issue, making sure no important data was omited and at the same time, not offending, generalizing, nor using wrong data in the video. The content does NOT represent my personal opinion, and is completely based on all the information gathered from multiple sources, including online newspapers and magazines, public polls and census belonging to other US companies and organizations.
