Green Royal Hall

Green Royal Hall
The concept of the conceptual architectural design for congress center GREEN ROYAL HALL in Banja Luka is a “full-empty” form relationship. The architecture is satisfied with the form of a monolithic modern building, which is seemingly divided into 3 parts. The central part of the building - the entrance hall stands out with its shape, materialization and leveling, not to separate the building, but to form a buffer zone between the park - the natural environment, and the business zone Shopping mall "Delta planet" - artificially built structures performing arts - drama and ballet on the one hand, and opera and painting on the other. The form that seemingly separates the building, actually forms the focal point, where the entrances on both sides of the building are located, as well as the main horizontal and vertical communications, as well as the entrances to all the contents of the building.
The ground floor of the GREEN ROYAL HALL is seemingly partially divided, creating a "full-empty" form relationship, is a place where the architecture perfectly corresponds to the interior and exterior. The entrance hall on the ground floor forms a buffer zone between the catering facilities - closed public spaces; ground floor arrangement - open public covered spaces; and the administrative part on one side and the open-air gallery on the other side of the building. On one side of the building there is a gallery and spaces for the needs of the opera - a multifunctional hall and a small concert hall, along with all the accompanying facilities. On the other side, there is a theater with a crumbling stage, a ballet hall, and other ancillary rooms. The gallery is accessed from the ground floor by vertical communication, which also serves as an evacuation staircase and official entrance for the performers of the multifunctional hall and small concert hall.
The multifunctional hall has a capacity of 1500 seats, which are arranged through the ground floor, I and II level, and the gallery. The small concert hall has one level of auditorium of 200 seats, while the theater hall is divided into two levels - ground floor and gallery with a total of 700 seats. The underground garage has a capacity of 100 parking spaces - for VIP guests, employees and visitors.

The entrance hall is a combination of modern minimalist architecture with concrete,
wood and glass, and green structures - green walls and vegetation, where the complete space accented by line LED lighting and ceiling pendants. The first impression of entering the hall creates a feeling of being in the open, which was achieved by implementing green walls and trees, and a completely transparent wall curtains on the entrance zones and glass coverings in the roof plane. Architectural monumentality the entrance hall consists of a central vertical communication - concrete stairs, which extend to the top floor cascading leading to the left and right side of the building, where the entrances to the halls are located and accompanying content.

The appearance of the facade of the building was influenced by the adopted concept of the "full-empty" relationship, where the massive concrete structure is intersected by glass surfaces with a dynamic rhythm, which permeates from the floor level to the roof plane of the building.
