SYSTEM ALARMU DOMOWEGO
Pozorna prostota działania. Komplikacja. Frustracja. Takimi słowami można określić aktualnie powszechnie funkcjonujące systemy alarmowe. Mają one za zadanie informować o zaistniałych sytuacjach zagrożenia dla użytkownika, jakie wystąpiły na wyznaczonym terenie. Manipulator jest z reguły obiektem naszego największego zainteresowania, gdyż to właśnie na nim wbijamy kod aktywujący, bądź dezaktywujący system alarmowy w danym budynku. Ma on największy kontakt z użytkownikiem, a jednocześnie sprawia największe problemy w bezpośredniej komunikacji z nim.
W ramach realizacji dyplomu licencjackiego na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku na kierunku Wzornictwo zdecydowałam się zbadać rynek pod kątem dostępnych systemów alarmowych oraz sposobu w jaki użytkownik z nimi funkcjonuje. Po wnikliwej analizie sposobu i scenariuszy użytkowania postanowiłam połączyć dotykowy ekran na manipulatorze z fizycznymi przyciskami, które dają większe poczucie pewności wciśnięcia. Aby maksymalnie zróżnicować poszczególne klawisze zastosowałam dla nich podwójną krawędź, jedną wychodzącą z samego przyciski, a drugą z samej formy manipulatora. Umiejscowienie przycisków akcyjnych w innej płaszczyźnie minimalizuje możliwość przypadkowego aktywowania alarmu głośnego, cichego lub samego ekranu dotykowego i dostępu do menu. Manipulator po wykryciu obecności użytkownika w pobliżu automatycznie się podświetla dając sygnał gotowości na naszą komendę. Kolor żółty sygnalizuje oczekiwanie urządzenia na nasze opuszczenie budynku i aktywację alarmu co sygnalizuje czerwony kolor podświetlenia. Integralną częścią systemu jest również projekt systemu aplikacji umożliwiającej stały i przejrzysty podgląd aktualnej sytuacji w domu.

Apparent simplicity of operation. Complication. Frustration. These words can be used to describe commonly functioning security alarm systems. They are designed to inform the user about existing situations of danger in the designated area. The keypad is usually the object of our greatest interest, because it is where we enter the code that activates or deactivates the alarm system in a given building. He has the greatest contact with the user, and at the same time causes the greatest problems in direct communication with one.
As part of the bachelor's diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in the field of Design I decided to research the market in terms of available alarm systems and the way the user works with them. After a thorough analysis of the method and scenarios of use, I decided to combine the touch screen on the manipulator with physical buttons that gives a greater sense of confidence in pressing. In order to diversify the individual keys as much as possible, I used a double edge for them, one coming from the buttons and the other from the form of the manipulator. The location of the action buttons in a different plane minimizes the possibility of accidentally activating the loud or silent alarm or the touch screen itself and accessing the menu. After detecting the presence of a user in the vicinity, the keypad automatically lights up, giving a signal of being ready for our command. Yellow color signals that the device is waiting for us to leave the building and the alarm is activated, which is signaled by the red backlight. An integral part of the system is also the design of the application system that enables a constant and transparent overview of the current situation at home.
