The 2020 season would be the last that Wilson would hold the title of "Official Glove of Major League Baseball". Creatively, this meant the loss of team names, logos and all associated art on uniforms, products, environments, etc - which had been heavily leaned on in the past as the focus of their "By the Pros. For the Pros" mindset.
Transforming the pro roster into comic-style super heroes solved the issue of player imagery limitations and tapped into an existing attitude that fans attributed to their on-field idols. We brought in well known sports illustrator Robzilla to transform a selection of MLB players into power-wielding heroes based on selected photography that would artistically conceal MLB property.
