This concept is a futuristic hand-held vacuum cleaner, made out of soft intelligent material (Elektroactive Polymere) in the external housing and the inner structure. By equipping with sensors, it aimed to detect the user's natural hand movements and individual habits, the shape of the design can transform into an adaptive form. Meanwhile, personal behavioral patterns as digital data will be recorded and stored on the central database. It can recognize the current user and automatically provides suitable operational patterns that have been stored previously in the database. Vorwerk can then use the user information for innovation and product development.
Strategy
Direct sales of products and services are Vorwerk’s core business. The concept of receiving immediate feedback through the product from users to the company will be the next step for the future business model. The Idea Formworks is not just a vacuum cleaner design; it is a system integration of services and products for the future.
The traditional direct sales model is that the Sales need to sell products to customers, and customers should be asked regularly for feedback. Compared with the previous one, the new model reveals a possibility of future through the networked service, the product can directly record the usage data, and the Company Vorwerk can also use the feedback from the network.
In this context, a whole system would be achieved by the product and the service at Vorwerk to offer an optimal experience. The material and innovation are the breakthrough points in terms of design.
