TYRO is a noun meaning beginner or novice; Latin for "Young Soldier"
 
TYRO the magazine, set at 7x10, is a guide for young professionals who are heading out as "young soldiers" in their fields.
 
Highlighting stories from interns, art directors, architects, entrepreneurs, international professors, this magazine is meant to help these veterans and provide them with first hand experience, tips, and tricks of the trade. The magazine would come out once a quarter, the colors used on the spines and throughout the publication would represent the year in which they were released, this is the 2013 set, minus one edition. 2014 would utilize a different set of colors.
 
Main typefaces used are Sullivan, Trade Gothic, and AtOurBodoni.
