Modularity hides the complexity of a system. Modules must follow a framework that will guarantee consistency and flexibility during use. I set myself up to explore modularity in typography design and how simple elements when combined can lead to complexity.
Flux is a creative tool based on a modular system that invites you to explore the complexities of type design in a fun and interactive way.
The grid which Flux is based on can react to external inputs. Activating the microphone, the grid will follow the surrounding ambience. Users can therefore create custom glyphs opening up to an enormous set of possibilities.

To test the potential of Flux, I created a bespoke Typeface for myself and imagined how it could work when in use. (audio on)
