to be able to begin this project, i chose the subject of 70s music for the photomontage. then i found an image of the galaxy from the internet to use as the background, i chose this to give it a mixture of colors that could go with multiple types of music.

then i started the 70s theme off with the rolling stones logo big in the center and then found a piano path image from google. once i cleaned the images up i made the the piano seem to go back behind the logo. then copied the image a flipped it horizontally in order to make it seem to come out of the logo on the other side.  

following the theme of 70s, i decided to begin with Disco! i found an image of John Travolta in "Saturday night fever" at a disco striking a pose. i then proceeded to clean the picture and placed it along the piano road. i added a stroke effect along the outline by double clicking on the images bar on layers and selected stroke making it an opacity of 73. i did this to make it better stand out among the images.

then i found an image of a disco ball and after cleaning it up i turned the opacity down to not make it so contrasting to the brightness. then placed it in the corner on the disco "side". Then i found an image of Cher and placed her with the disco area to keep up the theme. then i added the same stroke over her i had done before. 

For the next music type i did Funk, starting by finding an image of David Bowie and another one of Diana Ross. i then cleaned the images up and placed them along the piano. i added a bright white outer glow on both images so they could have their own signature. i did this the same way i did stroke.

Last i found an image of a rock band, KISS for the next music type. after cleaning up their group image, they were placed on the opposite side of the piano road to balance them.  

Next i found an image of Jimi Hendrix for the blues theme. after cleaning and placing the solo image near the rock band, i added a 70s style guitar image from the internet, floating above both groups. i then proceeded to add an image found of the group ABBA for a pop theme. so i used the wand tool and eraser to clean it up (like i had done with all the other images) in order to place it in the back to finish up all the music types!

to finish off the image i added an inner glow effect to the Hendrix image and an inner shadow to the ABBA image to make all the groups have something special. Then i found an image of the word RECORDS and placed it on the bottom of the screen. I next command J to copy the words twice. then i changed the effect colors to give a 3D effect to the word to conclude the project.
