Tallinn: A Hidden Gem of Europe

TALLINN

I visited Tallinn last year for a short time during my Finland travel and was fascinated with the culture, architecture and the people who were really friendly and welcoming. It's undoubtedly one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe.

The moment we stepped out of the Tallink ferry, we were greeted by a warm welcome. We couldn't take our eyes off the colorful palette that existed in the skies. Such vibrant strokes and hues are a rare sight to watch.

Took an unplanned stroll to discover narrow cobbled stone streets!
This illuminated tree reminded me of a fictional series from television! I discovered it while taking a stroll of the old town of Tallinn at - 5 degrees
The church in the backdrop is St. Olaf's Church which was built in the 12th century and is the centre for Old Tallin's community. It is said to have been hit by lightning around 10 times and burned down three times throughout its existence but still stands tall.
This futuristic installation combines digital and analog technology. Made from steam-bent hardwood with hand crafted elements that were 3D printed to give construction workers interactive holographic guides instead of drawings.
