Art Mad-Lib Project
First thing I did was sketch out a layout of what I wanted my piece to look like and where I wanted everything to be. I then sketched a outline of the city with pencil on a canvas, to give me a guide line for when I paint.
I used paintbrushes and shades of black and white paint to paint the city landscape I wanted. I use large messy strokes when I painted to create a grungy simple look to the art.
I painted the outlined of the explosion in white, so that that my paint colors would stand out. I then painted the details of the explosion in bright colors over the white, painting it to look cartoon like and added red beads to create dimension and texture.
I cut out a image of a women walking from a magazine to be my focus point of my piece. I added newspaper to create the sidewalk and add dimension. I then drew earbuds and a phone on the women and pasted her on my canvas. Lastly I photographed it with my iPhone to capture my finished product.
For my second project I wanted to create a 3D murder scene using barbie dolls and props. To do so i started by covering cardboard in paper to act as the walls, then i created furniture and decorations with hot glue, cardboard, and fabric.
I set up the scene with the decor i made along with some doll furniture from a younger cousin. I used red paint mixed with water and used a paintbrush to create the effect of splattered blood.
I used old barbies i borrowed from my cousin to be the "people" in the scene. I then used the same technique of splattering the paint on the barbies clothes and bodies to make them appear bloody.
I used hot glue to stick things in place such as the murder weapon in the barbies hand and the barbie on the chair.
Finally i set up the scene and used a lamp to help with lighting. Once it was set up I photographed it on my iPhone to get my final product.
For my final project i wanted to create a image of a women swimming in hot lava. To create the hot lava i used different shades of red orange and black paint mixed with some water, i then dripped the paints onto my canvas to create a textured lava like effect.
I glued a picture of a volcano to the top of the canvas, to create a background, and correlate with the lava theme.
I used gold chains and black and red beads to divide the volcano and lava and also add texture and dimension to the piece.
I cut out a image of a women on a floaty to depict the women floating in lava.
Lastly i glued the image of the women onto the canvas and used my iPhone to capture my final piece !
