This project was my first exposure to making my own brush presets. I tested out a few brushes I made on a new Photoshop document. I had three pieces in mind: cats in backpacks in a garden, butterflies using fridges in the city, and a bee at the beach with a plane.
My first piece I completed was the cat with a backpack. I made brush presets of 3 different flowers to make the background. I then made a brush of a field of flowers to overlay on top of the cat. After that I made a brush of a tree. For the cat, making the brush was easy, but the backpack was tricky. I had to rotate the sticker to perfectly fit on the cat in the way I wanted.
I had to fill the area behind the fridge white for the fridge to show up. I made brushes of a can of coke and an apple to add dimension to the fridge.
I made a brush of waves and layered it along the right side of the picture. I then made brushes of several cloud types and layered them. I filled the area behind the plane with white to make the pink plane show up. Lastly, I added the bee.
