First impressions are very important as they assure us to take the first step while beginning something. Same goes for the food we order in restaurants and that is where food menu takes center stage as it is the platter on which our, the consumer's attention is served...
In this project I've taken a simple home delivery menu of a dhaba and recreated it as if it belonged to a high-end restaurant!
THE FRONT PAGE
The first impression of what the consumer is going to get. There is a royal feel to it with golden borders and the textured layout. The highlighted logo 'D' and the name are made of big bold fonts which catch the attention quickly. The golden borders give a lavish feel to the reader. This makes the person excited for what's inside the menu and at the same time feel affirmed that the place where he/she is dining is a nice one!
THE CONTENT
As the menu is opened, the contents are seen. One gets a clear impression of what he/she is going to have. The food items and their prices are clearly visible but the font size of the former is bigger as there is where the restaurant wants the consumer to focus on. Plus a beautiful picture of one of the delicacies gives the consumer a a sort of visual craving.
THE HOME DELIVERY MENU/ PAMPHLET
This is actually the first version I made of the real menu. Here, as we can see it's a single menu where everything is listed. The name and logo are there but the food items and the prices take center stage. There's also the address and contact details which is very important to attract more consumers from far and near.
THE INSPIRATION
The actual menu I found lying outside my doorstep. It's simple and does the job. Surely did for me! XD
